June / Summer 2018
June Games: In June, we will play on the 12th and 26th of the month--these are Tuesday afternoons at 12:45.
Summer Games: When the Club is open during July and August, we'll set up some tables after the buffet lunch each Wednesday and those who wish to play a few hands of bridge in the after-noon are welcome to pull a foursome together and play! Very informal, but fun.
Bridge Lessons: A few members have inquired about the Club offering lessons. It seems unlikely that we would have enough interest to make it worthwhile to pay an instructor. There are many local options for bridge lessons--just "Google" and find alternatives.
NEW PLAYERS: If you have never played bridge before and would like to learn the game basics, let me know and we'll set up some informal lessons at the Club during the summer.
September Games: Our regular games will commence on Tuesday, September 11 and 25 at 12:45.
Come to the Club on Tuesday May 8 and Tuesday May 22 at 12:45 for 16 hands of bridge. No partner or special skill level is necessary. A good way to enjoy an afternoon, especially when combined with a delicious lunch in our Dining Room. See you there!
Spring is here, the sun will improve the lighting and ease our trip home, so it's time for the snowbirds to re-join the group. We welcome all members to play 16 hands of bridge at 12:45 on Tues-day, April 10 and Tuesday, April 24.
All levels of play are accommodated and no part-ner is needed. Enjoy a deli-cious lunch first at noon and stay for an afternoon of bridge.
(Reserve your lunch in the signup book or phone or email the Office.) Hope to see you there!
Were you playing bridge at the lake this summer or a "few" years ago at university and would you like to relive those carefree times? Then join us for Social Bridge.
Duplicate Bridge is played on the first and third Fridays of the month.
Each session, partners are selected at random prior to the game, and all pairs play the same hands. Consequently, you can assess the play of you and your partner according to the group. Winners are acknowledged. It is essential that numbers are accurate so you must register each time you want to play. Reservations may be made by notifying Vivian . Allow time to re-serve your spot or in the event that you must cancel.
Express lunch is available at noon on Fridays. Reservations should be made on the Tuesday prior to the game day by calling the club or signing the reservations book at the club.
Prior experience in Duplicate Bridge is not needed to enjoy an interesting afternoon of bridge. I hope to see you at the bridge tables.
Club members are welcome to join us at any time. The final games for this season will be on Friday June 1 and June 15 at 1:00 pm sharp. The fall session will begin on October 5 at 1:00.

Duplicate bridge will be played on Fridays April 6th and 20th at 1:00 pm. Welcome back to our winter holidayers.
Express Lunch is available at 12:00 if you reserve ($12). Start times at 1:00 pm permit the completion of 16 hands before the area traffic becomes congested.
Duplicate bridge will be held on Fridays, March 2 and 16. If we can start a bit before 1:00, we should finish before the heavy rush hour starts! Please contact Vivian if you are planning on playing or need to give your regrets at least 48 hours before the game. A successful afternoon does depend on multiples of 4 people exactly.
Your co-operation is much appreciated.
Duplicate Bridge will be played on Fridays, February 2 and 16 If you arrive at 12:45, we will be ready to play before 1:00 pm. That will make it possible to complete the games at 3:30 pm.
Reservations are necessary. Please call the convener if you would like to play and have not played before. If you have to cancel a reservation —-48 hours notice is a help in finding a replacement.
Thanks for your support of Duplicate Bridge! (There’s an Express Lunch $12 available at 12:00.)
