FRCH (Friends of the Ralph Connor House Inc.) is the owner of 54 West Gate.  UWC members are also members of FRCH and work to sustain the legacy of our beautiful historic house.

Ralph Connor House was built in 1914 by the Reverend Charles Gordon who lived in the house with his wife and seven children.  The house was vacated after his death in 1937, and UWC purchased the house in 1945 for $7,000. The Friends of Ralph Connor House was created in 2003 and the house was sold to FRCH for $1.  UWC currently rents the house from FRCH.  Check out this link for more details.

Ralph Connor House is a stunning venue to entertain, whether it be a small family dinner party, large bridal shower, or your office Holiday Get-together!  All members receive one free annual Ralph Connor House venue rental each year and 25% off other venue rentals throughout the year.  UWC members can also reserve one of the small rooms on the second floor for private meetings or luncheons any time UWC is open.

Contact our Event Services Manager at uwcevents@mymts.net to check date availability and for more information on staff fees and catering.

Please note that wedding ceremonies and receptions are excluded from the annual free rental.

For many years now both women and men have been eligible for all UWC awards created to advance the educational opportunities for students.  A complete list of the awards can be found here.
